Really great experience overall, the food was fantastic and lunch was delicious. The service from the lady hosting was wonderful, she described each of the wines we were trying and ensured we knew which foods would go well with it. We could have done with a little more time to allow us to explore the vineyard / cellar or to purchase bottles as the end was a bit rushed when the bus came to collect us. Value for money was great, lunch and 5 wines tried.
Nothing compares to sitting in a sun-drenched vineyard, sipping a glass of the latest harvest – and you'll do just that on this visit to the warm and welcoming Ktima Akrani winery. While away a couple of hours here as you tuck into a light lunch with views out over the Aegean from the terrace.
Over 30 years ago, the owners began planting vines in the foothills of Mount Dikaios, driven by an ambition to leave a legacy of sustainable wine-making that preserves rare Greek varieties for future generations to enjoy.
You'll choose a glass of chilled wine from three of the house labels, so there's something to suit every taste. Your cold cut platter is full of local goodies, like salami, prosciutto, and a variety of cheeses paired with fruit preserves. With tasty bites, very quaffable wines, a friendly host and sea views, it's a recipe for a vintage afternoon.
