What to expect

This tour offers different perspectives of Kos – as you'll discover its wealth of natural and cultural treasures both by land and sea. Among the top attractions are the Hippocrates Foundation, a visit to the village of Kefalos and a cruise.

Gain a guided insight into one of the most important cultural sites on the island, the Hippocrates Foundation. This place is loaded with all the info you could possibly want to know about the iconic Greek physician, who's widely considered the father of modern medicine. Explore the museum's exhibits of ancient manuscripts and surgical equipment, before wandering around the well-kept botanical gardens here. Afterwarrds, we'll stop off at an Aloe Vera Farm to try an aloe vera soft drink.

From here, ascend to the beautiful village of Kefalos, where you'll visit a traditional house and the old, restored, windmill. Soak up panoramic views of the island and Aegean below, as you wander the narrow streets. Then, it's down to the coast, to board your boat at Kamari. Let your skipper take you to a hidden, idyllic bay. Take a dip and then enjoy a souvlaki lunch on the beach.

Aloe Vera farm trip boring. Every tour includes trip to such a place in every country we go to. Trip to Greek village substitute with trip to Zia or larger town so can do some shopping and spend forty five minutes there rather than 4( minutes at an old windmill as nothing to really see there. Not long enough boat trip. Olive oil factory bit boring too.

The guide did not join the coach until about 35 mins after us and then told us to change coach. Her English was broken English and spoken too fast, but she was also doing German and Greek to be fair. The boat trip was probably an 8 and the Alovera farm a 7, but the trip was hampered by the multi language information. The Hypocratese part was also a 7 when the English speaking guide from the museum took over.

The visit to aloe vera was just a selling opportunity. The museum was good, but far to busy and we were shuffled around other groups. The beach on private island was gard to navigate

This was one of the best TUI trips I’ve been on, the Hippocratic museum was very interesting and the guide informative and happy to answer questions. The stop off at the windmill was enjoyable and boat trip plus lunch was spot on. The two tour guides were very good with plenty of information about the island, the audible voice guides were a good touch. Personally I would drop the Aloe Vera stop, that was the least enjoyable bit for me
