Things to do in Charlottenburg Palace
Charlottenburg Palace, in the heart of Berlin, is one of the major tourist attractions of the German capital. It is a Baroque and Rococo masterpiece with lavish interior decoration.
The original palace was built at the end of the 17th century by the artistic and witty Queen Sophia Charlotte of Hanover and expanded in the 18th century. Up until 1888, the palace served as the residence of Prussian kings and German emperors in Berlin. It was severely damaged during World War II but was restored and furnished.
Tour the palace's royal interior, with rooms and halls decorated true to its original and outstanding art collections. Marvel at the Porcelain Cabinet, the palace's Chapel, and Frederick I's bedroom.
The 135-acre Charlottenburg Palace Park takes you through 300 years of garden art. It was laid out by Queen Sophia Charlotte in the Baroque style and was intended to become the most modern garden in the German-speaking world. Her successors transformed the park into a landscape garden based on English models. After the Second World War, the garden was rebuilt in the Baroque style.
Charlottenburg Palace is open from Tuesday to Sunday. The palace is easy to reach from the city center by the S-Bahn, U-Bahn, or bus.
Enjoy an elegant dinner here or the classical music in the garden as you learn more about the royal lifestyle and history during your visit.

Reviews Charlottenburg Palace
“I would recommend because it gave me peace of mind. It all worked well, although I wasn't sure until we were there. The tour was interesting. It didn't quiet follow the journey through the rooms, meaning I spent time worrying about what was on my phone instead of enjoying the experience.”
